PiccoSoft began with a small team, a passion for technology, and the determination to create opportunities through software. From our early days of freelancing and small development projects to building technology teams, products, and a rural development centre, our journey has always been shaped by learning, persistence, people, and continuous technology evolution.
From a Small Beginning to a Growing Technology Company
Piccosoft began with a simple idea: build useful technology, keep learning, and create opportunities for people to grow. Founded by Mr. Suresh Sekar in 2011 as Piccosoft Software Services in Chromepet, the company grew from a one-person venture into a development team and evolved into Piccosoft Software Labs India Private Limited in 2015. Over the years, Piccosoft embraced technologies from PHP to Node.js, Angular, React, Flutter, Golang, Blockchain and beyond, today building technology, products, and opportunities across its Chennai and Tiruvannamalai teams.

Before Piccosoft became a company, it began with years of learning, experimentation, freelancing, and persistence. Mr. Suresh Sekar started his career as a software developer, explored PHP and Joomla independently, and moved into full-time freelancing in 2007.
In 2011, he started Piccosoft Software Services with a small office and a simple setup. As projects grew, the first developers joined, freshers were trained, and a small team began taking shape—laying the foundation for Piccosoft.

Learning the Craft
Started professional software development and worked with VB.Net and C#.Net while independently learning PHP and Joomla.
The Freelance Years
Moved into full-time freelancing, building projects independently and working directly with clients.
Piccosoft Begins
Piccosoft Software Services started in Chromepet with a small office and a growing ambition.
Piccosoft Software Labs
Piccosoft Software Labs India Private Limited was established. The company moved into a larger commercial office and began expanding its technology capabilities.
Technology Expansion
Angular, Node.js and Ionic became part of the technology journey.
React Joins the Journey
The team expanded its frontend capabilities with React, while Chennai continued to grow.
Technology Beyond the Cities
The Tiruvannamalai branch was established during the COVID period, with a focus on creating technology opportunities for rural talent.
Exploring New Technology
Blockchain became part of Piccosoft's technology evolution, while the Tiruvannamalai team continued to grow.
A Growing Technology Team
Chennai and Tiruvannamalai teams together reached 100 developers, with Rust added to the technology evolution.

One of Piccosoft’s defining milestones was establishing a development centre in Tiruvannamalai. During COVID-19, we saw the challenges employees faced in Chennai and asked a different question: why should rural talent leave their communities to build careers in technology?
We started with a small team of 20–25 candidates, many from agricultural and rural backgrounds. Through training, mentorship, and opportunity, they grew into skilled software professionals—turning a development centre into a platform for local talent and opportunity.
